The Islamic Art Revival Series (IARS) Experience – supported in part by The City of Richardson Arts Commission – offered North Texans a unique opportunity for people of all ages, faiths and cultures to experience the rich and varied visual and performing arts of the Islamic world. The 4th annual IARS Experience took place on Saturday, September 12, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Bank of American Hall in the Charles W. Eisemann Center in Richardson.
This day long event included Sacred Geometry workshops, workshops by Samia Khan on Weaving Carpets, and stage performances by renowned artists Malek Jandali Trio, Baraka Blue and Amadou Kienou. In addition guests enjoyed a fashion show with Yasmin Johnston, from Muslim countries across the world and the musical history of Pakistan by Umair Jaffar.
