In 2014 Islamic Art Revival Series, in partnership with LuminArté Gallery, presented the 3rd Annual Juried International Exhibition of Contemporary Islamic Art. It featured 46 Artists from 17 countries including the USA, the United Kingdom, Iran, Bulgaria, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Sweden, Japan, Egypt, Pakistan, Canada, Singapore, Lebanon, Switzerland, Qatar, Mexico, and Cuba. A number of art lectures and workshops by renowned artists and art educators were held in conjunction with the exhibition at the LuminArte Fine Art Gallery, 1727 E. Levee Street, Dallas.
Our juror, Dr Iftikhar Dadi, is an Associate Professor at Cornell University, Department of History of Art, and is the Chair of the Department of Art. Iftikhar Dadi is an artist and art historian broadly interested in the relation between art practice in the contexts of globalization, urbanization, and mediatization.
