The Islamic Art Revival Series is excited to invite you to a series of public workshops on Islamic Pattern, in collaboration with The Art of Islamic Pattern and the Creative Arts Center of Dallas.

Led by instructors Adam Williamson and Richard Henry, this series of modular practical workshops will introduce participants to the profound beauty and subtle complexity of Islamic patterns. Using the traditional tools of compass and straight-edge, in addition to freehand drawing, participants will explore geometric designs and biomorphic motifs (Islimi/Arabesque) from across the Islamic world to re-create a range of stunning traditional designs. Each workshop is taught from first principles and assumes no prior knowledge or grounding. The workshops will be of interest to artists, designers, craftsmen/women, architects, or anyone with a passion for Islamic art and geometric design. All are welcome.
